I absolutely dreaded the thought of going through the home selling process, but I thoroughly enjoyed working with Joe throughout. Joe kept me informed at all times, and I never doubted that he had my best interests at heart.
Joe Kaplan is an excellent realtor. He works whatever hours it takes to get the job done–rising early, staying up late, and even making phone calls while riding his bike. He patiently guided me through the complicated and deadline-driven process of buying a home, making sure I met my obligations in a timely fashion while minimizing my stress. When other players in the process slacked their pace, he tactfully prodded them back into action. When I encountered roadblocks, he calmly and resourcefully found a way around them. He has great relations with a legion of craftsmen who were able to assist me at a moment’s notice. Thus, even though the chimney had to be rebuilt before escrow could close, the work was completed on time. Throughout the process, he was always friendly and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend him.
Most glaring statistic has to be the number of transactions comparing 200o with 2009, down from a whopping 414 sales in the first 6 months of the year to a paultry 149, a precipitous decline of 64%. Average prices for the first 6 months are back to roughly 2004 levels, at approximately $500,000, after peaking at $607,423 in 2006.
